The Mehfil Project: Musical Movements

Join exquisite artists Kesha Raithatha (Kathak), Surmeet Singh (Sitar), Aarti Lodhia (Kathak) and Rishii Chowdhury (Tabla) as they take you on a vibrant journey through music, movement, rhythm and expression.

This exciting, collaborative performance will be premiered in an intimate setting, bringing tradition and exploration together by experiencing classical art forms in a way that is forever new. The unique performance will be followed by a discussion where the audience will be able to ask the artists about their journey.

This event is part of The Mehfil Project – a new series of Indian Classical Music and Dance events at the Peepul Centre. Arts Council England has funded BBPC to lead this in partnership with Arts Hub, which comprises of Sitar Music Society, Nupur Arts and Centre for Indian Classical Dance.
