To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee the Peepul Centre is launching an exhibition on Friday 3rd June of the Queen’s visits to Leicester since her Coronation in 1952 along with a showcase of the unique contributions made by the local Belgrave communities over her 70- year reign. With artefacts collated from the archives, we have captured an honest snapshot of local community experiences creating a visual timeline.

A fresh new era begins this summer at Peepul Centre on Orchardson Avenue in Leicester. This new phase in the centre’s legacy is centred on the mutual benefit and social value that the arts bring to the lives of all, especially those of the local community in Belgrave, St Matthews and surrounding areas.

The Peepul Centre is pleased to announce that our Research and Development project has been approved for funding by the Arts Council England. This work will allow us to further engage with the local community and local arts organisations and help build our theatrical arts whilst developing the local artists and their performances.

The Peepul Centre social enterprise based in Belgrave, Leicester, has been through a great deal of change during the Covid-19 pandemic, with social restrictions resulting in many of its facilities having to temporarily close.
