We at Peepul Centre are excited announce the launch of Peepul Health, an online forum dedicated to health & Well-being. Filled with videos, workouts and talks on health issues by leading experts.
We are pleased to announce that the Peepul Centre is one of 100 charities to be awarded a £100,000 donation by Barclays.
The Peepul Centre has been awarded a grant as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund to help face the struggles of the Coronavirus pandemic and to ensure they have a sustainable future, as the Culture Secretary has announced.
Peepul Centre Free Meals Service for the Covid-Vulnerable People is supported by the Government’s DEFRA – Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs – grant to purchase foods to deliver nutrients meals to the vulnerable people in the Leicester Belgrave area for 8 weeks from 16 June 2020.
Our aim is to provide free meals to the local elderly, vulnerable, isolated, NHS staff & Key workers. Currently we are supplying up to 1000 meals per week.
We are a charitable organisation that has been involved with the local community since we were first established in the year 2000. Most of our work is with and for those that live in the areas surrounding our Centre. As a result, we have established a deep connection with people and value all those who use our Centre. Our organisation is completely self-funded as is this project, which is why we are asking for your help.
At the Cultural and Creative Industries Plan launch event held on the 5th of February 2020 at De Montfort University, various Leicester based organisations and National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) funded by Arts Council England (ACE) presented the Leicester World-Class Arts and Culture prospectus; showcasing the city’s leading art organisations and launching their plans for the future.
A series of music and dance events culminating in a larger-scale finale performance in 2019. The three main aims of the project were:
