DESCRIPTION:STAGE COMBAT WORKSHOP\n\n \nWant to learn how fights are created and performed for theatre and film?\nThis masterclass is open to anyone interested in learning the basic but constantly used hand-to-hand combat techniques both on stage and screen. Participants will learn how to slap\, punch\, kick\, grapple and strangle one another\, whilst gaining an understanding of fight rhythm\, making it work for the audience and how to move a fight across the stage.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThroughout the workshop combatants will progress from learning individual techniques to performing phrases of fight choreography that will challenge them to maintain an awareness of themselves\, their environment and their partners’ safety. Working from a point of safety\, participants will create a performance that utilises the actor’s use of character and intention to explore how this turns choreography into an on-the-edge-of-your-seat performance! \nParticipants are advised to bring comfortable movement clothing\, appropriate footwear and water. \n\n \nThis workshop is open for beginners through to advanced stage combatants\, so if you want to give it a go\, are looking to learn a new skill or are coming along to exercise your prior learning then this workshop is for you.\n\n\n\n\n\nDate: 30.05.2017\nTime: 7.15 – 9.15pm\nPrice: £10 on the door\n\nwww.kieloshea.com\n\n\n\n\n\n
